HOW IT WORKS

SunDisc Solar Systems takes its design from the sun and has created solar collectors in the shape of a sphere. This sphere-shaped hood optimally captures sunlight and efficiently converts it to heat, which is transferred to the swimming water with the help of a robust system consisting of the collectors, pump, and control unit.

The hood’s insulating effect and even flow distribution in the pipe system prevent heat loss, while the pump activates whenever a temperature difference arises between the swimming water and the water in the collectors. The system has remarkably high efficiency per square meter compared to other solar systems. The result is a longer swimming season by utilizing free renewable energy.

Covering a pool during spring and autumn helps to retain the energy produced by our system in the pool, as it minimizes heat loss caused by cool air and wind, which maximizes the efficiency of the heating system and reduces energy consumption.

Swimming works out your entire body. is good for your joints. is good for people with asthma. is great for your heart health. strengthens your lungs. results in better brain health. has anti-aging effects. improves your mental health.

The system can be installed on flat surfaces such as pergolas, carports, on the ground or on a surface with a maximum tilt of 15°, with flat installations being preferred. The distance from the technical room to the collectors has minimal influence on the system’s efficiency. For advice without obligation, please contact us.

Solar pool heaters are the most cost-effective option that uses the sun’s energy to heat your swimming pool water. It uses solar collectors, pump and a control unit to heat the pool in a way that is very economical. In fact, it pays for itself within 3-5 years and incurs almost negligible operating costs.

You can significantly reduce swimming pool heating costs by installing a solar pool heater. They’re cost competitive with both gas and heat pump pool heaters, and they have very low annual operating costs. Actually, solar pool heating is the most cost-effective use of solar energy in some climates.

SunDisc SlimLine

CONTROL UNIT

The SlimLine control unit utilizes two sensors to determine the difference in temperature between the pool water and the water in the collectors. The pump automatically turns on when the difference reaches 1°C and switches off when the desired temperature is achieved. In the absence of heat from the collectors (e.g. during cloudy or nighttime conditions), the pump is inactive. This system can be seamlessly integrated with your existing heating setup.

By harnessing the power of nature’s free resources through smart technologies, this system heats your pool without incurring high energy costs. It boasts unmatched durability and exceptional quality.

BADU Delta/Prime

PUMP (OPTIONAL)

We exclusively offer the products of ‘SPECK Pumps’, which we consider to have the best pumps on the market based on SunDisc’s 20+ years of experience. However, we recognize that there are other options available in the market, and our clients are free to choose whichever product they prefer.

“The BADU Delta swimming pool pump has a maintenance-free motor with high performance ball bearings and a stainless steel motor shaft. It is especially quiet and efficient due to newly configured hydraulics. LED lighting in the transparent lid aids sight inspections. Inset drain plugs avoid risk of breakage and highly efficient technology leads to higher flow rates with lower energy consumption.”

The ideal number of collectors needed for optimal performance varies based on the dimensions of your pool and its coverage. To achieve optimal results, a covered pool should have our solar collectors covering 30% of its surface, while an uncovered pool should have 40% coverage. Our product has a surface area of 3.81 square meters, which can help you calculate the coverage needed for your pool based on its size.

Examples:
Uncovered pool 8 x 4 = 32m2
Coverage 40% (32*0,4/3,81) = (3,36) 3 collectors

Covered pool 10 x 5 = 50m2
Coverage 30% (50*0,3/3,81) = (3,94) 4 collectors

On average, a pool can warm up by 3°C each day, depending on the amount of sunlight and the number of collectors. The extent to which the heat generated is retained also depends on the time of year, in addition to the pool’s coverage and the weather circumstances.

The SunDisc Solar System boasts an unparalleled Coefficient of Performance (COP) thanks to the combination of low pump electricity usage and high collector yield. In fact, a single SunDisc collector is equivalent to 8-10 photovoltaic (PV) solar panels.

By investing in a SunDisc Solar System, you make a positive impact on the environment by opting for free and sustainable solar energy, while also enjoying your pool for longer periods at a reduced monthly cost.
